About EWE Tours
EWE Tours leads high school and college students on educational, cultural and sports tours to Costa Rica, Ghana, India and Vietnam.
Our tours immerse students in non-western cultures and inspire them to learn and grow. You will make new friends and gain confidence while having new adventures!
We are a small team who are passionate about international travel. Founder Scott Burke and his team personally lead each tour group. We love the opportunity to share with students our extensive knowledge, expertise and connections abroad.
Company History
We began as the organization “Cosmic Volunteers” in 2001. Our team sent 2,000+ volunteers on service trips to more than a dozen countries including Ecuador, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Nepal, the Philippines and Vietnam. In 2021 we changed the name of the organization to EWE Tours. Our focus now is on short-term tours abroad rather than dedicated volunteering trips. “EWE” (pronounced ā-wāy) is an ethnic group in Ghana. Our long-time program leaders there are part of the EWE tribe. We wanted to honor them with our new name.

Our team at EWE Tours also consists of our experienced and friendly tour leaders and travel partners in our host countries. Their dedication and hard work helps us create and run our unique student tours abroad. We have all become friends over our shared belief in cultural exchange and international travel.
