About EWE Tours

Established in 2001, EWE Tours leads high school and college students on educational, cultural and sports tours to Costa Rica, Ghana, India and Vietnam. Our tours immerse students in non-western cultures and inspire them to learn and grow. It’s a unique opportunity to make new friends and gain confidence while having an adventure abroad.

Founder Scott Burke and his team personally lead each tour group. We love the opportunity to share with students our expertise and caring and the connections we have made abroad. We hope to inspire others to become passionate about immersive international travel.

EWE Tours Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit charity based in the Philadelphia area. Our IRS tax ID is 33-0998120.

Our History

We operated as “Cosmic Volunteers” for many years, as we sent 1,500+ volunteers to more than a dozen countries. They served at children’s homes, schools, clinics, media companies, wildlife parks and more. We recently changed our name to EWE Tours, as we focus on leading group tours abroad to a handful of our participants’ favorite destinations. (“EWE” is a homage to our long-time program leaders in Ghana who are part of the EWE Tribe.)

Global Partners

Our team at EWE Tours also consists of our experienced and friendly tour leaders and travel partners in our host countries. Our trips always have a local bilingual trip leader available 24/7 (along with our US leaders on the ground too). We have all become friends over our shared belief in cultural exchange and international travel. We can’t wait for you to meet them!
