One coach goes on the trip for free for every twelve (12) athletes. We pay your airfare, meals, accommodations, program activities & insurance.

Volleyball San Pablo CR team

Our Costa Rica Volleyball Tours offer players age 14-21 from the US the unique opportunity of going abroad for competitive volleyball, community service and adventure excursions. Depending on your level, you will compete in tournaments and friendlies against school teams, clubs or even Costa Rica’s National Team. All while immersing you in Costa Rica’s culture where you can make new friends and even improve your Spanish. Bring your school team, club team, or assemble your own team for the trip.

Volleyball in Costa Rica:

Itinerary

Day 1: Departure Flight
Fly from Newark NJ (EWR) to San José, Costa Rica (SJO). Orientation then walking tour of San José with stops at the National Theater, Central Park, and the Central Market. Volleyball training and matches in the evening with a local team. Overnight in San José.

Day 2: San José
Volunteering at a food bank for children in the morning. In the afternoon, meet and train with players and coaches from the Costa Rican Volleyball Federation. In the evening, a volleyball match then conduct a volleyball clinic for girls in Heredia, San José. Group dinner with local volleyball players. Overnight in San José.

Day 3: La Fortuna
Travel to La Fortuna. Explore the town then a rainforest hiking excursion with views of Arenal Volcano. Evening dinner buffet and hot springs swim. Overnight in La Fortuna.

Day 4 : La Fortuna
Zip-lining through the rainforest canopy, along with a waterfalls swim. Volleyball matches in the evening. Overnight in La Fortuna.

Day 5: Jaco
Travel to the beach town of Jaco. On the way, stop to walk over the famous Crocodile Bridge at the Tarcoles River. Beach fun in Jaco in the afternoon, including beach volleyball and surfing lessons.

Day 6: Jaco
Visit a sea turtle conservation project in the morning. Then volleyball matches against local teams in the afternoon. Beachside dinner.

Day 7: Jaco
Half-day waterfall excursion and swim in the rainforest outside Jaco. Volunteer with children at a literacy program in Jaco.

Day 8: San José
Return to San José. Homemade lunch and cooking lesson with a local Costa Rican family. Distribute dinners at a church in nearby town of Heredia. Shopping for souvenirs and program wrap-up dinner.
