EWE Tours Launches Youth Golf & Service Program in Costa Rica
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PHILADELPHIA, PA – EWE Tours, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit specializing in life-changing international travel, is proud to announce its newest specialized itinerary: the Costa Rica Golf Tour. Designed for student-athletes aged 14–21, the program merges elite championship golf with community service, cultural immersion, and rainforest adventure.
Since 2001 EWE Tours has led students on service-oriented journeys across Africa, Asia, and Central America. This new program applies that mission to the world of sports, offering high school and college-aged players the opportunity to compete internationally while giving back to local communities.
“Our goal is to provide more than just a golf vacation,” said Scott Burke, the Director of EWE Tours. “We’ve created a program where young athletes can test their skills on world-class courses while developing a global perspective through volunteer work and cultural exchange.”
Program Highlights:
* Championship Play: Athletes will play four rounds at premier 18-hole courses, including renowned sites like Reserva Conchal (designed by Robert Trent Jones II) and The Ocean Course at Peninsula Papagayo (an Arnold Palmer signature course).
* Service & Giving Back: Participants will engage in meaningful service projects, such as hosting golf clinics for local Costa Rican youth, volunteering at food banks, and participating in turtle conservation efforts.
* International Competition: The trip includes mini-tournaments where U.S. students can compete against Costa Rican youth players.
* Adventure & Culture: Beyond the greens, students will experience ziplining through rainforests, hiking volcanic landscapes in La Fortuna, and practicing Spanish with their host families and golf competitors.
The 9-day tour is available year-round for groups of 12 to 28 players. To support school teams and local clubs, EWE Tours offers a Coach Travels Free incentive for every 12 players enrolled.
The program fee of $2,485 includes 24-hour supervision, private ground transport, all green fees and golf arrangements, 3 daily meals, 3-star accommodations, and comprehensive travel medical insurance.
